A foreign goddess of yesterday summoned to correct the problems of today. She's able to control the “passion” of individuals-- to influence their cares, their lack thereof, to take the whims and fancies of a given person and mold them like putty in her hands. Well, she used to be able to do as much, at least. She's been out of practice for a while. Even in her native country, centuries ago, she was first brought forth to correct the errors of mankind. The gods of her land had found displeasure in the misconduct of mortals, so with her influence over the heart, Sibylla was able to urge wrongdoers unto repentance. For this power, the humans of her land paid great honor to her, venerating her yearly. Great faith was invested in her, many asking that she wager her hand in their bethorals, marriages, and trysts. The days of that yearly veneration are long gone, and in more recent years have been replaced by a celebration of foolishness and joking, mistaken belief. It's bad for her health. Even so, Sibylla was summoned forth, even after entire eras of simply dawdling around. It seems that in the Outside World, there's been a great deal of problems regarding the affairs of love, so much so that it's taking a toll on the country at large. Though the problem's out there, it seems that Gensokyo's nature of gathering the strange of Japan has drawn her there instead. That being said, Sibylla still attempted to rectify a problem of the Outside World as if it were also a problem of Gensokyo. Making her base under a mountain, just as she did in her time in the Outside World, she sought to properly reinvigorate the hearts of Gensokyo's humans. But before that would be safely possible, she would have to quell the myriad of troublesome spirits plaguing the realm. Waving her hand, she muted the passions and flames of their hearts. “How could the gods of this land let it become so tarnished?”, she thought. (Somehow, she was content with the fairies acting as they did.) She's putting an unusual amount of work into this newest job. In truth, it's a method of distracting herself from a subject that's been bothering her. When she was venerated long ago, she would be venerated with, and indeed, work in tandem with another goddess. That goddess was able to bestow fortune upon humans, making the wishes of love and affection Sibylla would sew into their hearts realizable. Of course, now she's gone from Sibylla's life. It's possible that she's working so hard because she's doing more work than ever, then. Actually, it's probably because she misses her.

After the ending of the “passion” incident, Sibylla decided to retire herself once again and departed permanently to the Youkai Mountain. Seeing the miraculous jewel incident happen, she couldn’t help but get entranced by this beautiful magic flowing all around; and obviously, couldn’t help but to also go investigate it. What could be the source of this? Who could be responsible for this? Surely Sibylla wasn’t an incident resolver, but she could get some pieces out of this puzzle sorted, she thought.
